Who we are

SheNodds is a project of lewkAi (lewkai.com), based in South Africa. Questions or requests: hello@lewkai.com.

SheNodds is for women only. When you make a card you confirm you're a woman. We don't check ID yet. If you think someone isn't, email hello@lewkai.com and we'll remove them.

What we keep when you join the waitlist

• Your email address
• Your first name, country and the side you picked (want work or need someone)
• What you wrote on your card
• The date you signed up

We don't use tracking cookies or ads, and we don't sell or share your details with anyone.

Why we keep it

To invite you when SheNodds opens near you, to send you your real matches, and to fill in your card for you when you sign in. That's all. You gave us your email for this, and you can take it back any time.

Where it's kept

On lewkAi's own servers, rented from Hostinger: the SheNodds waitlist and the lewkAi contact list (CRM), where SheNodds sign-ups are kept apart from other lewkAi contacts.

Leaving

Email hello@lewkai.com and we'll delete your details within 30 days. You can also ask to see what we hold about you or to fix it. If SheNodds never opens, we'll delete the waitlist.

Your rights

You have rights under the South African POPI Act and, if you live in the EU or UK, the GDPR. If you're unhappy with how we handle your details, you can complain to South Africa's Information Regulator or the data protection authority where you live.

When you sign in to the app

You sign in with Google. Google tells us your name and email address. Then we keep:

• Your card: what you write, and the photo you add. Other members can see your card. That's what it's for.
• Who you said yes or no to. Nobody else sees this. A match only happens when you both say yes.
• Your matches and your chats. Only the two people in a chat can read it.
• Your email address. Other members never see it. We use it only to tell you about a new match or a new message. You can switch these emails off in the app under My card.

Cards, matches and chats are kept in SpacetimeDB, a database service run by Clockwork Labs. Photos are kept on our own server at Hostinger. Emails are sent through Resend, an email service. The email says who matched with you or sent you a message. It never includes what the message says.

Delete your card in the app and your card, photo, matches and chats are deleted for good, for you and the people you matched with.

The demo

Until you sign in, the demo at /app runs only in your browser. Anything you do there stays on your device and isn't sent to us.
